Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Miami, Florida. This role entails joining our team as a Purchasing Agent, a key function within our industry. You will be responsible for obtaining quotes from vendors, managing purchase orders, and ensuring adherence to project budgets. The workplace involves a dynamic environment where you will negotiate contracts and pricing, and use your Excel skills to track and manage data.

Responsibilities:

• Actively seek and negotiate quotes from vendors

• Consistently adhere to project budgets to manage costs effectively

• Enter and manage all outstanding purchase orders

• Follow up on all purchase orders to ensure timely delivery

• Utilize Excel to track and manage various data related to purchases

• Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure the best terms for the company

• Manage vendor relationships to ensure a steady supply of necessary goods and services

• Act as a point of contact for any inquiries or issues related to purchase orders

• Continually assess and improve purchasing processes and procedures

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth procurement operations. Requirements • Proficiency in generating and managing Purchase Orders

• Extensive experience in Quoting

• Demonstrated ability to Negotiate Pricing effectively

• Strong skills in Negotiating Contracts

• Proven track record in purchasing or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Understanding of supply chain procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent attention to detail

• Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques

• Bachelors degree in business administration, logistics or a related field (preferred, not required)
