Description
Robert Half has partnered with a leading logistics in their search for a senior accountant. This role is 100% on-site in Downtown Miami.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-cycle month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliation, audit preparation, and maintaining accurate financial records. Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Assist in the preparation for external audits, including providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Utilize NetSuite and advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on full-cycle month-end close and financial reporting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and complex formulas.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
