Robert Half International Senior Internal Auditor in MIAMI, Florida

Description

Large and Growing International Company with operations in Miami is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor. The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for planning and administering audits on the field at domestic and international locations. This will include review of audit workpapers for compliance, conducting audit examinations, developing audit programs, making recommendations for improved compliance and efficiencies, mentoring staff and ad hoc finance and accounting projects as needed. This position does involve about 40% travel internationally.

Key responsibilities

  • Take on special research and projects as needed

  • Efficiently relay project status to members of the team

  • Help map and record processes to pinpoint top risks and integrity controls

  • Perform regular follow-up on both open and past due internal audit and SOX observations

  • Help coordinate third-party compliance assessments and audits

  • Help with the production of audit programs by setting the objective, scope, and work program of individual audits

  • Conduct internal audits and SOX testing; to include compliance with policies and procedures and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of the internal control structure

  • Document test results and provide support for an informed, objective opinion of the risk exposure

  • Create audit observations and recommendations to management both verbally and in writing

Requirements

Must have 3+ years of audit experience.

Must be a current CPA or CIA.

The position is temporarily remote. However, the role will require up to 40% travel in the future.
