Description
Robert Half is looking for a Systems Administrator. As a System Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and other IT systems to support our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of system administration best practices, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to managing IT systems. Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
Manage and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize system availability and performance.
Configure and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Administer Active Directory, including user account management, group policy administration, and domain controller configuration.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data protection and business continuity.
Manage and maintain email systems, such as Microsoft Exchange or Office 365.
Implement and enforce security best practices to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend new solutions or enhancements to improve IT systems.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
4-7 years of experience in system administration roles, with a strong technical proficiency in server and network administration.
Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Familiarity with network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Experience with Active Directory administration and group policy management.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
