Description
Robert Half is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in Miami, Florida. This role is 100% on-site.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of consumer and mortgage loans, with a focus on improving turnaround times and customer service
• Implement and manage a new system (MeridianLink) to streamline and automate processes
• Conduct detailed analysis of operational metrics, including turnaround times and product performance
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer service
• Train and mentor a team of 4 staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
• Bring fresh ideas and concerns to the table to drive continuous improvement
• Manage the accounting functions, auditing, and budget processes of the finance department
• Oversee capital management and cash flow analysis to ensure financial stability
• Ensure compliance with credit union policy and other relevant regulations
• Handle high volumes of data, providing insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis.
Requirements • Significant experience in managing accounting functions, including auditing and budget processes
• Proficient in capital and cash flow management
• Experience in handling consumer loans and mortgage financing - lending
• Expertise in mortgage loan origination and credit union policy
• Proven leadership skills and ability to oversee a finance department
• Strong strategic planning and financial analysis skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in using financial software and tools
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong business acumen and understanding of regulatory requirements
• Proven expertise in driving efficiency and profitability through financial management and data analysis.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are an advantage.
