Description
Robert Half is immediately seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to assist one of our long standing clients in Middleton, Wisconsin! The ideal candidate would be comfortable being in office 5 days a week, and be excited about the intellectual property space. Previous experience in intellectual property is NOT required.
Under direct guidance and supervision of attorneys and/or paralegals, the ideal candidate would:
Assist in the prosecution of United States and international patent matters.
Develop a basic understanding of U.S. and foreign patent rules.
Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents.
Copy and scan documents.
Research patent-related issues on PAIR and other available databases.
Compose, draft and revise correspondence and documents with strict attention to deadlines.
Prepare and correct patent drawings.
Transmit documents to clients and foreign associates.
Ensure that files are created.
Ensure that changes are made in the client file.
Assist in the management of e-filing of records.
Bill time for work completed during the work day based on current billing goals.

Requirements
Strong attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
