Robert Half IT Manager in Middletown, Connecticut

Description

We are on the hunt for a dedicated IT Manager to join our team in Middletown, Connecticut. This role will be pivotal in managing and developing our IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. As an IT Manager, you will lead and manage our IT support team, assess IT needs, and coordinate with our outsourced IT provider to manage and support IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade, and support all IT systems.

• Lead the helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of all IT issues.

• Administer user management and security settings on Office365.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage.

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies; conduct regular security audits and assessments.

• Manage ERP advancement and support.

• Create reports utilizing SQL queries on an ad hoc basis.

• Proactively monitor system performance and address issues before they impact the business.

• Lead system integration efforts to streamline processes and improve data flow.

• Manage IT staff including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, and development.

• Prepare and manage the IT expense budget, optimizing resources for maximum efficiency.

• Provide training and support to employees on the use of various IT systems and applications.

• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to keep us at the forefront of innovation.

• Develop and enforce IT support policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Proven experience with Active Directory

• Knowledge and understanding of Computer Hardware

• Experience writing SQL queries required

• Demonstrated skills in Project Management

• Cyber Security expertise required

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience

• Ability to manage and lead a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Experience in strategic planning and execution

• Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management

• Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software

• Ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience

• Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products

• Willingness to keep up-to-date with advancements in the IT industry.
