Robert Half Lead Project Accountant in Middletown, Delaware
Description
Cutting Edge development services company is looking to hire an efficient Lead Project Accountant who can budget project cost and maintain project scheduling. This role will be responsible for generating project schedules, processing subcontractor billings, tracking subcontractor and supplier waivers, maintaining supplier documentation, assist with change orders, prepare reports, provide billing structures, and investigate variances. The Lead Project Accountant must have strong knowledge of construction related accounting software, solid communication skills, and excellent time management abilities.
How you will make an impact
Oversee and manage accounting staff
Shape processes and lead development of associated procedural documentation
Mentor, train, or share high-level knowledge with others in order to contribute to the development of the department
Provide guidance to other staff as appropriate, supporting transfer and retention of knowledge and enabling others to work efficiently and effectively
Management of overflow projects
Vendor account reconciliation and communication
Requirements
The ideal Lead Project Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Lead Project Accountant role include and are not limited to:
5+ years of work experience in construction accounting
1+ years management experience
Knowledge of AIA G702/703 formatted requisition billing
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Analytical skills with a keen sense of urgency
Proven time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines
