Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) Analyst to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The FP& A Analyst will play a crucial role in driving financial performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making processes. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to provide valuable insights that support operational efficiency, cost management, and overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.

  • Create and maintain financial models to forecast future performance, incorporating various scenarios and assumptions to guide decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational realities.

  • Monitor budget adherence, track variances, and offer actionable recommendations to address discrepancies.

Strategic Decision Support:

  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and capital expenditure decisions, evaluating potential risks and returns.

  • Assess the financial impact of various business strategies and aid in developing actionable plans to enhance profitability.

Cost Analysis and Optimization:

  • Conduct detailed cost analyses across different manufacturing processes and business units, identifying areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.

  • Work closely with operational teams to implement cost-saving measures and monitor their effectiveness.

Performance Metrics Development:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement relevant performance metrics and dashboards that align with business objectives.

  • Regularly update and refine these metrics to ensure they reflect changing business needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is a plus.

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning software is advantageous.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
