Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Midland, Texas
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry, located in Midland, Texas, United States. In this role, you will be tasked with a number of duties related to accounting, administration, and supply chain logistics, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our financial department.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise records of customer credit
• Provide administrative assistance with equipment sales
• Uphold the accuracy of Master Scrap Transactions
• Act as a dispatch relief when required
• Diligently handle account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable tasks
• Conduct weekly equipment tracking for various assets
• Submit monthly bill outs to accounting
• Expertly manage data entry tasks and invoice processing
• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to complete tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and invoice processing
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with billing procedures
• Proficient in data entry tasks
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of Excel formulas
• Prior experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Experience with Open Invoice software
• Ability to assist in dispatching and supply chain logistics
• Understanding of supply chain strategy
• Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically exploration and production
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience in an accounting clerk role is a plus.
