Description We are offering an opportunity to a Senior Accountant in the oil and gas industry, located in Midland, Texas. The role involves comprehensive accounting responsibilities such as managing revenue, accounts payable and receivable, and budgeting. This position also requires extensive knowledge in financial reporting in the oil and gas sector.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of revenue and expenditures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and procedures.

• Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, including the preparation and review of invoices and payments.

• Develop and maintain financial budgets in collaboration with other departments.

• Prepare and present financial reports related to the oil and gas industry, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

• Oversee the reconciliation of account balances including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.

• Conduct month-end close processes, preparing necessary journal entries and financial statements.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data effectively.

• Operate accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline financial operations and reporting.

• Employ strong organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records and customer credit records.

• Respond to customer inquiries, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant or related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries

• Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Experience with month-end close procedures is essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification is a plus

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is beneficial.
