Job Description:

Robert Half has partnered with a growing national service organization with over 50 locations seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role carries significant growth potential, with opportunities to develop into an Accounts Payable Managerial position. The ideal candidate must have described experience in managing Accounts Payable processes and keen interest in growth and development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Regular reconciliation of invoices and review of accounts to ensure successful payment to vendors while avoiding duplication.

  • Performing weekly analysis and preparing comprehensive AP reports to capture insights and trends.

  • Assisting in the implementation of a Purchase Order system and other necessary AP automation.

  • Upgrading and refining AP processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy.

  • Troubleshooting any issues regarding billing and payment.

  • Becoming an integral part of the financial team and contributing to weekly meetings and strategy sessions.

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable position.

  • Sound knowledge of accounts payable procedures and best practices.

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.

  • Experience with accounting software

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • High degree of accuracy and ability to meet stringent deadlines.

A competitive salary ranging from $60,000- $70,000 based on experience, bonus potential, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
