Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Buyer in the industry located in Milford, Connecticut, United States. The role involves managing system data parameters, handling purchase and transfer orders, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily review, analysis, and execution of purchase and transfer orders to address system and customer demand. • Maintain and update system data parameters, including min/max levels, to ensure fill rate objectives are achieved. • Utilize advanced demand planning software solutions for determining demand and supply. • Respond promptly to requests for price, availability, and product information. • Ensure cost and pricing accuracy, meeting margin objectives. • Manage inventory, minimizing slow-moving products, and assist in the disposition of dead stock. • Negotiate cost, payment, and shipment terms across buying categories. • Leverage supplier promotional opportunities and best cost buy configuration. • Re-source problem suppliers as needed while maintaining positive supplier relationships. • Source new suppliers and products as required, and negotiate off-sheet pricing for large volume and project buys. • Resolve all receiving and invoice discrepancies promptly. • Provide timely and thorough updates to sales, including alternative items when stock is delayed. • Contribute to process improvement by providing input and recommendations. Requirements • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a buyer role or similar position.

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Buying Processes.

• Excellent Communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with NetSuite will be considered a plus.

• Experience in working with Suppliers and understanding Contract Pricing.

• Ability to Negotiate Pricing effectively.

• Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Buyer in a business setting.

• Must possess a high level of detail oriented integrity and a strong work ethic.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure.
