Description
Robert Half is partnering with a client in the recruiting for an AP Manager to join their organization. This role involves overseeing payroll processes, managing accounts payable, and participating in an upcoming ERP conversion. You will supervise a team of 3. This individual will need some experience with payroll and willing to assist the payroll specialist with processing.
Seeking a "working manager" who can jump into the day-to-day of AP and Payroll. Also, a great people manager to mentor and coach the team!
Responsibilities:
Overseeing routine department activities, such as disbursing checks and processing payroll, to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
Overseeing and assisting with payroll administration.
Supervising and managing the accounts payable and payroll team.
Maintaining accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records.
Implementing and enforcing department controls, policies, and procedures.
Processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and statements.
Managing end-to-end accounts payable processes in accordance with company regulations.
Auditing internal and external payments, and detecting any discrepancies.
Training and mentoring accounts payable clerks and payroll clerk.
Coordinating and reviewing the preparation of audit materials and financial reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred or combination of relevant experience
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or in a similar role.
Experience with payroll administration.
Expertise in Sage Intacct a plus.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent organizational, leadership and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional numerical proficiency and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors.
