Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Other projects as necessary
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP Requirements - If you are proficient in financial reporting, you should apply for this position
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Foundational knowledge in Grant Management
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Expertise in general ledger
Strong familiarity with grant accounting
Journal entries experience
Account reconciliation experience
Well-founded grasp of month end closings
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Strong time management and organizational skills
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Skilled with ERP systems
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Ability to meet deadlines
