Robert Half Medical Records Clerk in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The person in this role will be responsible for managing and maintaining medical records in a healthcare setting. This role requires the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and a strong understanding of various medical recording systems including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, and MEDITECH.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and update medical records for all patients.
• Use software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, and MEDITECH to manage medical records.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for all records.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling patient records.
• Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to create charts and graphs for data presentation.
• Support clinical trial operations by providing necessary documentation and records.
• Perform data entry tasks to update and manage records.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses or to obtain additional information.
• Implement and uphold the policies and procedures of the healthcare facility regarding medical records.
• Assist in audits and inspections of medical records when required. Requirements • Proficiency in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, MEDITECH, and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to create Charts and Graphs
• Experience in Clinical Trial Operations
• Understanding of and commitment to Compliance practices
• Ability to maintain Confidentiality in all interactions
• Proficient skills in Data Entry
• Ability to accurately manage and organize medical records
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
