Description We are in search of a meticulous Patient Access Specialist to be based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role is centered on the healthcare industry and includes tasks such as efficiently digitizing paper-based data, organizing records, and collaborating with team members to verify data entries. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently digitize paper-based data into computer systems.
• Organize and maintain physical records to facilitate seamless digitization processes.
• Collaborate with team members to verify and validate data entries to ensure consistency and completeness.
• Utilize CRM, EHR SYSTEM, McKesson, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites to streamline data entry tasks and enhance productivity.
• Uphold confidentiality and security protocols while handling sensitive information during the digitization process.
• Execute tasks related to Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Cash Activity, and Claim Administration.
• Handle complaints professionally and effectively.
• Conduct record runs and match appropriate records to the patient in the system. Requirements • Proficiency in the use of CRM and EHR systems
• Experience with McKesson software
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
• Understanding of Benefit Functions and Billing Functions
• Experience in handling Cash Activity and Claim Administration
• Excellent complaint handling skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare services
• Familiarity with patient registration or admission in a healthcare setting
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
