Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Service Representative in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is situated within the technology-driven solutions industry, playing a crucial part in transforming patient experiences and the financial performance of medical establishments.
Responsibilities:
• Field inbound calls from patients, addressing their queries and concerns in a compassionate and timely manner.
• Assist patients with hospital check-in procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process.
• Utilize advanced technology platforms, including Epic System and Epic Software, to accurately input patient details and maintain up-to-date records.
• Adapt to frequent interruptions from clinicians for emergent clinical care, demonstrating excellent multitasking abilities.
• Display empathy and understanding when interacting with patients who may be ill or anxious, building rapport and providing reassurance.
• Collaborate with a team of revenue cycle professionals to enhance patient satisfaction and the overall financial performance of the organization.
• Navigate complex health plans and insurance coverage details, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data collection.
• Stay prepared for a fast-paced work environment, often being on your feet to assist patients with their registration. Requirements • Must possess strong skills in Answering Inbound Calls, efficiently handling patient inquiries and concerns.
• Proven experience in obtaining Authorizations for medical procedures, treatments, or hospital admissions.
• Proficient with Benefit Functions, including understanding and explaining insurance benefits to patients.
• Demonstrable competency in Billing Functions, accurately processing patient invoices and payments.
• Ability to produce and interpret Charts - Graphs, aiding in the understanding of patient data and trends.
• Familiarity with the Epic System, including patient scheduling, registration, and clinical documentation.
• Experience with Epic Software, able to navigate and utilize its various modules for optimal patient service. TalentMatch®
