Robert Half Patient Service Representative in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Access Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role primarily involves managing patient records and data, ensuring their accuracy, and maintaining confidentiality in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Efficiently transforming paper-based data into digital format with high precision and accuracy

• Organizing and maintaining physical records to streamline the digitization process

• Collaborating with team members to verify and validate data entries for consistency and completeness

• Utilizing CRM, EHR SYSTEM, McKesson, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites to enhance productivity in data entry tasks

• Upholding confidentiality and security protocols when handling sensitive information during the digitization process

• Running records and matching appropriate records to the patient in the system

• Handling billing functions, claim administration, and cash activity

• Managing complaint handling and customer service related to patient access and records

• Utilizing knowledge on benefit functions to ensure accurate patient records.

The role does not require any transition into a permanent or full-time position. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in a Patient Access Specialist role or a similar position in a healthcare setting

• Proficiency in using CRM and EHR systems for patient data management

• Experience with McKesson software is highly desirable

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data entry and reporting

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Billing Functions in a healthcare setting

• Ability to handle cash activity and perform claim administration tasks

• Excellent complaint handling skills to address patient concerns effectively

• Good understanding of the healthcare sector and its regulatory environment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work activities

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Commitment to uphold patient privacy and adhere to confidentiality guidelines.
