Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53207, United States. This role will primarily involve providing financial support to our program grants, ensuring compliance with our financial policies and procedures, and performing routine financial transactions. The successful candidate will also serve as a financial liaison, working closely with program managers or directors.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a financial liaison for assigned program grants, ensuring compliance with both our financial policies and procedures.

• Perform and review financial transactions, including reconciliations and transaction processing.

• Work closely with respective program managers or directors to ensure financial compliance and efficiency.

• Carry out routine financial transactions common to achieving the department’s goals.

• Assist in budgeting and reporting tasks to provide accurate financial data.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various financial operations.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Conduct month-end close procedures, preparing necessary journal entries.

• Serve as a backup for various department functions, providing support where needed. Requirements • Demonstrable proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in handling Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Proficiency in preparing Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge and experience working with NetSuite

• Proficiency in Oracle software for accounting tasks

• Experience in using QuickBooks for business accounting

• Familiarity with SAP for financial management and accounting tasks
