Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a skilled Database Analyst III in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is primarily focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions for our products, with the potential for remote work. As a Database Analyst III, you will apply your expert level skills in database architecture and design, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver efficient and robust database solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement database solutions to align with business requirements, including data modeling and schema design.
• Collaboratively work with software developers to design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas.
• Optimize database performance through detailed analysis of query execution plans, indexing strategies, and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to secure data availability and integrity.
• Proactively monitor the health and performance of databases, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance problems.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations through the implementation of access controls, encryption, and auditing.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices for future reference.
• Stay informed about emerging database technologies and industry trends to make knowledgeable recommendations for improvements.
• Utilize experience with Data Profiling, BI, and Analytics in daily tasks. Requirements • Possess strong communication skills for effective coordination with stakeholders
• Proficient in documenting processes and procedures
• Demonstrable experience in database design and development
• Ability to troubleshoot database issues efficiently
• Understanding of best practices in database management and configuration
• Knowledge of SQL and MySQL for query optimization
• Experience with database auditing to ensure compliance with standards
• Proficient in using monitoring tools for database performance
• Ability to collaborate with teams effectively
• Knowledge of backup technologies and recovery procedures
• Experience with analytics for data interpretation and decision making
• Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Proficient in engineering and optimization of databases
• Experience in configuration management to maintain system consistency
