Description

Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is in the market for a Payroll Lead to join our team in the Food & Food Processing industry, located in MILWAUKIE, Oregon, United States. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day payroll administration, maintain and update payroll processes, and collaborate with the HRIS team to optimize the use of ADP. This role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data, providing training to employees, and developing payroll processes to meet auditing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily administration and processing of payroll

• Maintain and update payroll processes in line with best practices and auditing controls

• Collaborate with the HRIS team to optimize the use of ADP

• Implement changes to the payroll module to streamline processes and procedures

• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of employee data in ADP

• Train employees on payroll self-service functionalities and adapt the system based on feedback

• Identify and address issues that interfere with payroll administration and compliance

• Prepare custom and standard payroll reports for stakeholders

• Calculate and enter payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, tax withholdings, and other employee deductions

• Maintain the company's payroll records, including digital archiving of data

• Administer all aspects of the company's payroll records

• Develop payroll processes to ensure the division of duties meets auditor standards and best practices

• Facilitate audits related to payroll processes

• Verify payroll tax return filings prepared by payroll service providers

• Maintain current employee records and process terminations within HRIS systems

• Maintain a working relationship with managers to resolve employee issues efficiently

• Comply with all company policies and procedures and operate all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.

Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding of Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is a must

• Familiarity with Ceridian software is essential

• Crystal Reports experience would be advantageous

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration is necessary

• Familiarity with About Time software will be beneficial

• Demonstrable experience with Accounting Functions is required

• Must have experience in Auditing

• Understanding of Benefit Functions is required
