Robert Half Senior Financial Analyst in Milwaukie, Oregon

Description

We are inviting applications for the role of a Senior Financial Analyst in the Food & Food Processing industry. Based in MILWAUKIE, Oregon, the successful candidate will assist in driving our financial operations and strategies, working closely with the Director of Finance. This role involves a blend of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex financial data to provide accurate and timely results for decision-making purposes.

• Perform margin review on customers and products and monitor various sales KPIs.

• Develop new reports using large datasets, translating results into meaningful metrics and insights.

• Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends and provide insights into current reporting capabilities.

• Review reports and data for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness, bringing attention to issues.

• Assist the Finance Manager with annual budget and quarterly forecast estimates, as well as departmental budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis.

• Work collaboratively with all departments and staff within the company, contributing to meeting monthly goals.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures, operating all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.

• Maintain responsibility for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.

• Utilize advanced Excel functions, including but not limited to formulas, pivot tables, and graphs, to optimize work output.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field

• Proficient in Pricing, Budgeting, and Budgeting-Forecasting

• Proficient in Power BI

• Experience in the Food and Food Processing industry is required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Proven experience with financial reporting and financial data analysis

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Advanced knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis

• Well-informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
