Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Minden, Nevada

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Sr Accountant for a temporary project in Minden, NV. This role is focused primarily on Accounts Payable (A/P) and Statement Reconciliations. In this position, you will be tasked with maintaining and reviewing financial records s, with emphasis on resolving discrepancies within accounts payable and financial statements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including A/P and statement reconciliations.

  • Analyze and reconcile complex accounts payable ledgers.

  • Review and process invoices, check requests, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare, review and reconcile monthly statements, identifying any irregularities or discrepancies.

  • Assure timely and accurate reporting of all financial data.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.

  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential

• Experience in balance sheet reconciliation is required

• Must be skilled in performing bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with general ledger operations is necessary

• Ability to create and maintain journal entries is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary

• Knowledge of MS Great Plains Accounting software is required

• Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven experience in a similar role within the non-profit industry is preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

• Commitment to ethical standards and a high level of integrity

• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting

• Understanding of state and federal regulations for non-profit financial reporting

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
