Description
Robert Half is seeking a Sr Accountant for a temporary project in Minden, NV. This role is focused primarily on Accounts Payable (A/P) and Statement Reconciliations. In this position, you will be tasked with maintaining and reviewing financial records s, with emphasis on resolving discrepancies within accounts payable and financial statements.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including A/P and statement reconciliations.
Analyze and reconcile complex accounts payable ledgers.
Review and process invoices, check requests, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare, review and reconcile monthly statements, identifying any irregularities or discrepancies.
Assure timely and accurate reporting of all financial data.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
Ensure compliance with all internal processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliation is required
• Must be skilled in performing bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with general ledger operations is necessary
• Ability to create and maintain journal entries is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
• Knowledge of MS Great Plains Accounting software is required
• Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven experience in a similar role within the non-profit industry is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Commitment to ethical standards and a high level of integrity
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
• Understanding of state and federal regulations for non-profit financial reporting
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
