Robert Half Associate Attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Description
A boutique litigation firm in Minneapolis seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience. This role will support clients across industries and areas of law, but will primarily focus in Commercial Litigation, Appellate, and outside general counsel. Ideal candidates will have experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and will have experience in Federal or Appellate Courts. This is an excellent career opportunity to work directly with Partner-level attorneys on case development and strategy and courtroom advocacy in complex cases.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing and drafting pleadings, legal memoranda, discovery requests and responses, procedural motions, and correspondence
• Conduct legal and factual research
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to manage caseload and deadlines
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and trials
• Review pleadings filed by opposing counsel and advise supervising attorneys on possible responses
• Participate in client meetings and maintain correspondence with clients
• Assist in case evaluation and strategy development
Requirements
• Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the Minnesota State Bar
• Preference for a minimum of two years of experience practicing law in Minnesota
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Federal Court procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
