Description
Robert Half is on the hunt for a skilled Bank Controller to support the CFO with accounting-related functions for a rapidly growing community banking client in the west metro. This role requires solid accounting capabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing the company's financial policies and procedures
Managing the preparation, analysis and reconciliation of general ledger, financial statements and related reports
Providing specialized analysis to support all business functions
Assisting with strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting
Balancing books monthly and managing periodic account reviews
Leading the preparation of external reporting such as the quarterly call report
Assisting in daily liquidity reporting and management
Overseeing accounts payable and ensuring accurate invoice postings
Supporting the CFO with special projects and workflow process improvement
Managing the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of accounting systems in compliance with GAAP, tax requirements and management reporting
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
Prior accounting experience in the banking industry preferred.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Excel.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or current pursuit of CPA license is preferred.

Requirements
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
CPA preferred
Proven knowledge of financial analysis
Banking Industry experience preferred
Entrepreneurial experience highly desired
Solid understanding of regulatory reporting
Expertise in financial statement preparation
Deep understanding of financial statements consolidation
Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Excellent oral and written communications skills
