Description

Robert Half Legal seeks a highly qualified Family Law Attorney to join a well-established Minneapolis law firm. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for family law, show significant empathy to clients amid emotionally challenging situations, and have excellent negotiation skills. The Family Law Attorney will handle all legal matters related to family law, including representing clients from intake through settlement or trial and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice and services in matters such as divorce, child custody, domestic abuse, surrogacy, juvenile law, adoption and guardianship.

  2. Represent clients before the court in family disputes or litigation procedures.

  3. Draft legal documents, including depositions, pleadings, appeals, pretrial agreements, and contracts.

  4. Analyze complex legal information and guide clients on probable outcomes and legal implications.

  5. Conduct thorough case studies and investigations to gather evidence.

  6. Facilitate negotiations and mediations between disputing parties, aiming at mutual agreement outside the courtroom.

  7. Stay updated on all developments in family law and adapt strategies accordingly.

  8. Attend legal seminars, workshops and conferences to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

  9. Maintain professionalism and adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational policies.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  2. A valid license to practice law in Minnesota

  3. Proven experience in family law.

  4. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes effectively.

  5. Knowledge in the use of legal research databases and tools.

  6. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  8. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional discretion.

  9. Possess emotional intelligence to handle sensitive issues effectively.

  10. Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
