Robert Half Fixed Asset Accountant in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Description We are providing an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Asset Accountant in the manufacturing industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities ranging from maintaining and reconciling fixed assets to assisting with period-end consolidation and reporting obligations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the fixed asset system for all US entities in accordance with US GAAP and US tax books
• Perform meticulous reconciliation of general ledger accounts including the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
• Prepare and present various accounting and tax reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including support for internal and external audits
• Act as a center of excellence for fixed asset guidance and support on a global scale
• Carry out quarterly internal control testing
• Cooperate with IS on new Oracle implementations or upgrades, including system testing and data integration
• Drive process improvement and automation within your role
• Assist with period-end consolidation and reporting responsibilities as required
• Support ad hoc projects and other duties as needed
• Serve as a support and backup for the general ledger supervisor Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Fixed Asset Accountant role or similar within the manufacturing industry
• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions and Accrual Accounting
• Proven experience with Auditing and Budget Processes
• Solid understanding and experience with Fixed Asset Accounting
• Experience in Public Accounting is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Must have legal right to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
