Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description Our client is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. You will monitor audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, and financial statement preparation as the Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. If you are a self-driven and organized accounting professional who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision this could be the Bookkeeper role for you! This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain monthly accounting close

  • Report business license and gross receipts

  • Keep Accounts Payable up to date

  • Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Manage sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Assemble cash flow projections, as needed

  • Qualified in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Organize subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Form cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Index budget transfers

  • Oversee Accounts Receivable

  • Other assignments as requested Requirements - Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

    • Notable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of bank reconciliations

  • Cash management experience

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Month end closings experience

  • Practical knowledge of QuickBooks

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Adeptness in billing

  • General familiarity with Payment Processing

  • Financial statement preparation experience
