Description We are in search of a Fundraising Officer to join our team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting agreements that meet donor intent and comply with relevant laws and regulations. In addition, the role involves leading negotiations with the development staff, maintaining fund accounts, and coordinating fundraising initiatives. Understanding and applying the policies and compliance aspects of the job will be crucial. The Fundraising Officer will also act as a liaison for development staff and others within the Finance department, assisting with miscellaneous projects and striving to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Create agreements that meet donor intent and comply with state and federal laws, IRS rules and regulations, and industry standards.

• Identify concerns with agreements and recommend revisions to meet donor intent.

• Lead negotiations with the development staff and provide guidance on related talking points.

• Establish and maintain fund accounts.

• Analyze and process various requests in coordination with the gift administration and accounting teams.

• Coordinate fundraising initiatives in partnership with development staff and the digital marketing team.

• Stay apprised of policies and compliance aspects of the job and apply them to the role.

• Serve as a liaison for development staff, University accounting staff and others within the Finance department.

• Support development staff in securing donations and completing required paperwork and processes.

• Contribute to process optimization and participate in fund database enhancement projects.

• Continuously learn about diversity, equity, and inclusion for oneself and the team and strive to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
