Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role involves ensuring smooth operations within our clinic, with a focus on enhancing patient experiences, coordinating appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the healthcare and social assistance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming and checking in patients for clinic and radiology appointments.

• Clarifying and explaining necessary paperwork to patients.

• Gathering and accurately entering patient demographic and insurance information to facilitate timely billing.

• Processing co-pays and patient payments.

• Preparing daily charts for patient appointments.

• Assisting patients with the scheduling of future appointments.

• Enrolling and educating patients about the patient portal.

• Coordinating the scheduling of interpreter services for patients when necessary.

• Maintaining and updating the provider database to ensure accurate tracking of referring providers.

• Keeping the front office lobby area organized, including straightening magazines, stocking coffee supplies, and general office clean up.

• Collaborating closely with clinic staff to ensure smooth clinic flow and patient continuity of care.

• Contacting patients via phone for demographic and/or insurance information.

• Assisting patients and visitors with questions, directions, and/or concerns. Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role as a Patient Care Coordinator within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry

• Proficiency in Patient Registration and Medical Front Office operations

• Exceptional Customer Service skills to ensure a positive patient experience

• Experience in Ordering Office Supplies to maintain an efficient office environment

• Ability to manage Patient Check-In and Check-Out procedures

• Expertise in Patient Scheduling and Scheduling Appointment - Calendar Management

• Strong Data Entry skills to accurately input and manage patient data

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations

• High level of discretion and adherence to patient confidentiality policies and regulations

• Completion of relevant educational qualifications, such as a degree in nursing or healthcare administration.
