Description
Robert Half Legal is hiring for an exciting career opportunity for a Paralegal. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this role involves supporting attorneys in litigation processes, maintaining case files, conducting legal research, and corresponding with clients and also courts. This role is crucial in the pursuit of justice for victims of harmful medical devices and pharmaceutical products. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal supporting medical-related litigation. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a full benefits package.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Maintain, organize, and manage case files both electronically and in hard copy.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, expert witnesses, and other related parties.
• Conduct legal research and investigative tasks to support case development.
• Facilitate the discovery process by gathering and organizing evidentiary documents, medical records, and other relevant documentation.
• Assist with the settlement process by tracking and calculating damages, drafting settlement agreements, and communicating with clients about their settlement offers.
• Coordinate schedules, deadlines, and logistics for depositions, court hearings, trials, and other important events.
• Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry news.
• Utilize large databases and case tracking systems.
Requirements
• Preferred candidates will have 2+ years in a law firm or other legal setting
• Able to handle billing functions efficiently and accurately
• Familiar with briefing, calendar management, claim administration, and complaint handling
• Knowledgeable in toxic torts, mass tort, or multidistrict litigation preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
