Robert Half's Legal Practice is excited to be searching for a talented Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join a top large law firm's team.

The position is located in Minneapolis, MN. After training and onboarding, 2 days/week remote is possible.

As a Patent Prosecution Paralegal at this firm, you will play a crucial role in the patent prosecution process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all aspects of patent prosecution, from filing to issuance.

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including patent applications and responses to office actions.

  • Conduct research and gather relevant information for patent filings.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and foreign associates.

  • Manage and maintain patent prosecution dockets and deadlines.

  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the smooth progress of cases.

    Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Patent Paralegal.

  • Experience with USPTO and PCT filings, as well as common international rules and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in using patent database software and document management systems.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
