Robert Half International Payroll Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Description Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a project professional for an interim Payroll Manager opportunity in the Manufacturing industry. Join our team as a Payroll Manager on a contract, where you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration). In addition to providing excellent customer service and streamlining processes, you will work to develop timely, accurate, and compliant payrolls. How you will make an impact
Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
Recommend, lead, and work on projects to continually review and improve current processes
Conduct payroll analysis, as needed
Manage payroll operations and staff members
Take responsibility for internal and external audits
Ensure record keeping and control systems to provide internal safeguards
Recruit and retain a team and lead it to success
Develop all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs, as well as shed light on pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and make sure correct amounts/deductions are applied to every earnings code in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
Provide accurate information and replying to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
Collaborate with additional members of senior Finance leadership staff
Manage pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Proficiency in payroll applications
Skilled in payroll-related cloud-based technology solutions
Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification required
Our ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Experience with Workday HCM
Deep understanding of Full Cycle Payroll
ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
Process Improvement experience required
