Robert Half Procurement Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Procurement Manager to join our client's team in the Minneapolis West Metro area. This position will oversee the procurement process within our client’s organization including negotiating contracts and administering bids and proposals with suppliers, optimizing cost savings, and implementing risk management measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company’s needs.

  • Ensure alignment of procurement activities with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure optimal value.

  • Conduct end-to-end RFP process.

  • Manage Third Party Risk Management process.

  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, IT) to adhere to compliance.

  • Conduct market analysis to achieve cost savings related to new and existing vendor contracts.

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.

  • Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.

  • Improve operational efficiency and reduce costs by maintaining metrics on relevant operations.

  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.

  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and savings.

  • Implement best practices and innovative procurement solutions.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement team.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) is preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations and contract management.

  • Experience with Third Party Risk Management software required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
