Senior Fund Accountant – Investment Management Firm

Are you seeking an exciting opportunity and ready to start a dynamic role within an international financial organization?

Our Client is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to work closely with a diverse and innovative investment team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced global environment and is adept in maintaining fund and partnership books and records, always ensuring compliance and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly close process for multiple funds.

  • Prepare and review fund-level financial statements.

  • Coordinate with Tax, Operations, and Investor Services to provide essential information to our investors.

  • Lead an offshore accounting team and third-party administrator.

  • Review capital draws and distributions.

  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders for financial statement development.

  • Ensure compliance against external audit process and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate actively in ad hoc projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of public accounting or 4 years of financial services industry experience.

  • Broad accounting experience including review of financial statements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

  • CPA certification a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills and communication abilities.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in spreadsheet software

  • Interest in developing relationships across departments.

Requirements

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry

• Proficiency in Fund Accounting and Fund Administration is necessary

• Experience with Hedge Fund and Private Equity is required

• Must be capable of preparing and auditing Financial Statements

• The ability to work independently and within a team is crucial

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are necessary

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

• Solid organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
