Description
There's a career-building opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well established multi billion dollar company in a permanent role in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. In addition to a strong compensation and benefits package, this position offers a great long-term potential. This Senior Accountant role is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a company.
What you get to do every day
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
ERP system experience
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Month end closings experience desired
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
