Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role will focus on overseeing the finance and accounting functions, directly supervising the finance department, and coordinating with the general manager. This position is involved in the day-to-day functions of accounting and will also include oversight of IT, and/or purchasing where applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain internal controls in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, while ensuring compliance with tax reporting requirements

• Oversee the process of recording manual journal entries and assist the finance team with full cycle accounting

• Review, approve, and assist in completing bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and other analyses as needed

• Create, maintain, and manage budgeting and forecasting including operating budget, monthly forecasting, capital budget, and cash flow analysis

• Work with outside auditors to complete the annual audit and issue audited financial statements

• Manage the facility's cash flow needs, investing idle funds while maintaining a minimum operating account balance to fund operations

• Manage all Payroll, Accounts Payable, & Accounts Receivable functions

• Supervise the hiring, training, and retention of finance and accounting staff

• Manage accounting for commissions related to sales

• Maintain contracts with all parties

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Proven ability to prepare and manage an Annual Budget

• Familiarity with Auditing principles and practices

• Strong understanding of Budget Processes

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to make strategic financial decisions

• Proven experience in a similar role at a senior level

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CFA, is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Advanced knowledge of financial law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
