Description We are seeking a Web Developer to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of new features, ensuring smooth transition of software from development to testing environment, and making strategic decisions related to the Magento platform. This job offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the design and development of new features for our website
• Ensure a smooth transition of software from the development stage to the testing environment
• Resolve any issues related to Composer usage
• Collaborate with various teams to make strategic decisions related to the Magento platform
• Customize off-the-shelf Magento setups to meet our unique requirements
• Proficiency in Magento Cloud and Adobe Commerce
• Develop an understanding of REST APIs and gain experience implementing them
• Gain experience with LAMP stack: Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP
• Develop a solid grasp of Magento’s code structure and extension architecture
• Develop knowledge of MySQL programming
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
• Gain proven experience in developing custom scripts and extensions for Magento
• Develop excellent communication and teamwork skills Requirements • Proven experience as a Web Developer or relevant role.
• Proficiency in Magento and Magento Ecommerce platforms.
• Strong knowledge in MySQL and Lamp Stack.
• Ability to work with REST API.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Strong understanding of web application security principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of initiative and self-motivation.
