Description
As the BI Manager you will lead and guide the Business Information Strategy in your region and serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. You determine the strategy on what applications, workflows, and BIM standards will be used throughout Boortmalt. You carry out the development and implementation of software applications. You assist in the implementation of automated technologies to help the company become more efficient and effective. Help plan, initiate and manage information technology (IT) projects.
Requirements
Main Tasks:
Develop and implement the Business Information Strategy (roadmap), contributing to the overall information strategy.
Monitor the information function in relation to key performance indicators and develop remedial action plans if appropriate.
Be a proactive member of the senior management team, providing intelligence to support strategic development.
Deliver a high-quality, responsive, and efficient information service supporting organizational objectives through delivery of analysis and insight.
Contribute to the program of work delivering an integrated intelligence system, adding significant value and ensuring local customer needs are reflected.
Support staff proactively by identifying opportunities to use information to improve services, including the creation of business cases.
Provide inspirational leadership to the information team (e.g., Functional Application Managers and Business Analysts), driving innovation and fostering a culture of customer service and continuous improvement.
Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the information function, aligned with corporate standards and processes, while maintaining a customer-focused and responsive service.
Work closely with external organizations to understand their requirements and negotiate appropriate services, collaborating with external forums as needed.
Develop and deliver a business-focused program (project portfolio) of work aligned with the corporate program and customer needs.
Work with other internal teams and external leads to ensure information support is integrated with contracting, performance management, and financial workstreams.
Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality improvement program in collaboration with relevant teams, ensuring a consistent approach across the organization.
Maintain specialist knowledge of methodologies for analysis and reporting, supporting the development of the team in delivering services to professional standards.
Stay informed about national and international policy, legislation, and professional best practices in information management, supporting the Head of Information Services in planning and adapting services to meet evolving requirements.
Maintain a detailed understanding of data flows and incorporate all flows consistently into internal systems.
Support staff in using information to ensure informed decision-making, including promotion and support for the organization's intelligence system.
Improve the efficiency of the information service by identifying scalable work programs and collaborating with IT to ensure they are developed effectively.
