Robert Half Tax Manager in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Accountant to be based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, maintaining client relationships, and providing consultation on tax-related issues and business strategies. This role is set within the telecom industry and requires expertise in tax accounting and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates.

• Maintain and nurture client relationships while providing outstanding client service.

• Consult clients on tax-related issues and recommend effective business strategies.

• Identify and propose solutions for technically complex tax issues.

• Manage client expectations effectively and identify opportunities to expand services.

• Stay updated on regulations and technical matters through training and self-study.

• Utilize software tools such as CCH ProSystem Fx for tax planning and compliance.

• Ensure adherence to IRS regulations and annual income tax provision.

• Cultivate new client relationships through networking and referrals. Requirements • Proficiency in the use of CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Planning software is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance and a thorough understanding of IRS regulations.

• Capability to prepare and analyze Annual Income Tax Provision.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients and explain complex tax information.

• Strong analytical skills to review financial data and identify tax issues or discrepancies.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines during tax seasons.

• Must have a strong understanding of local, state, and federal tax codes.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Experience in a similar role within a tax or accounting firm is desirable.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities.
