Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Mint Hill, North Carolina
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Mint Hill, North Carolina. This role involves maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping in a dynamic industry setting.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize Quickbooks and Sage Intacct software for various accounting tasks
• Exhibit patience and diligence in managing complex financial data
• Conduct month-end close processes
• Display proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Offer service knowledge by responding to financial inquiries from business units
• Exhibit strong organizational skills in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded
• Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
• Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
• Analyze revenue and expenditure trends, recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control
• Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients. Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role within the accounting field is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the use of formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures and processes is necessary.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• The candidate must be able to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems would be advantageous.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is crucial.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting is necessary.
