Robert Half International Financial Business Analyst in Mission Hills, California

Description

A prestigious health system is seeking a Financial Business Analyst for a position located in the San Fernando Valley. The Financial Business Analyst will be responsible for analysis of detailed clinical information related to physician activity (patient volume, diagnoses/interventions, etc.). The Financial Business Analyst will also be responsible for clinical reporting on population health, isolating aspects of the population based on disease states (heart disease, diabetes, etc.) to determine efficacy of clinical interventions and diagnostic tests. Results from this analysis will inform next steps for groups of patients, including enrolling patients in workshops or programs to improve adherence/persistence.

The Business Analyst will use data from their EMR, claims systems, pharmacy, and imaging systems to perform this analysis. Prior technical experience with EPIC, SQL, Access, and Excel is required for this individual to hit the ground running.

Requirements - A BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or related field necessary

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization

  • Efficient in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Expertise in Ambulatory

  • Practical knowledge of revenue recognition

  • Manage Care experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Manage Care Contracting

  • SQL experience highly preferred

  • Adeptness in Capitation Payments

  • Foundational knowledge in HealthCare Industry

  • Capitation Payments experience highly desired

  • General familiarity with budgeting

  • Background working with Microsoft Excel

  • Solid understanding of Financial Analytics

  • Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

  • Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management
