Our Client is looking for a VP of Finance to join our finance team. Reporting into the SVP of Finance, and working closely with the rest of the organization, you are able to provide thought leadership to a scaling data driven product company. You are a leader who enables your team to grow their internal skills, provide overview to the entire accounting function, supports stakeholders and senior leadership with reporting analytics on all finances for the business.
Experience managing teams totalling 30+ finance professionals.
Previous responsibility as Finance leader for at least $300 million (annualized) turnover, preferably in a software or IT company.
Successful track record as the CFO or VP of Finance for a business division, preferably in a software or IT company.
Experience managing a complex group audit - Big 4 or client side.
Full spectrum of accounting and finance experience, including M A accounting and complex multi-currency consolidations.
What You'll Be Doing
Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
Identify process improvements within the finance department
Retain constant awareness of the company?s financial position and act to prevent problems
Support, enable and lead the finance department
Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to senior leadership and stakeholders
Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Manage the preparation of all financial and management reports
Manage the preparation of financial forecasts
Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Who You Are
Proven experience as VP of Finance or similar role
Strong Accounting and FP A experience
Experience in a senior level finance or accounting position with a CPA
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
Strong knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Passionate about leveraging technology and experience implementing financial software to automate accounting and finance processes
Experience in cash flow planning and financing and investment analysis
Past experience working for a SAAS an asset
Experience working with investors an asset
