Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for our client in Modesto. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk who will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, receipts, and payments. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining vendor records, and resolving issues related to accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process invoices for weekly check runs

• Resolve any arising accounts payable issues

• Accurately input invoices, checks, and other documents into the system

• Oversee the verification and mailing process of checks

• Handle daily customer deposits and weekly cash reconciliation

• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice expenses

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and shipping vendors/statements

• Ensure daily processes and controls are executed accurately in line with company policies and regulations

• Provide support within the accounting team as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience or knowledge with Check Runs

• Familiarity with Coding Invoices

• Strong data entry skills

• Ability to process invoices efficiently

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in reconciling vendor statements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
