Robert Half Paralegal in Modesto, California

Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team based in Modesto, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the litigation process, from the preparation phase to post-trial activities. You will handle various responsibilities including drafting legal documents, managing case files, and assisting attorneys in trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all details related to trials, ensuring seamless processing before, during, and after the trial.

• Draft, file, and manage legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other discovery requests.

• Perform administrative duties including calendar management, case file organization, and managing logistics.

• Organize exhibits, evidence, and production documents to support trial proceedings.

• Provide assistance to attorneys in trial preparation, ensuring all necessary information and documents are readily available.

• Aid in the drafting of interrogatories and other discovery requests and responses.

• Gather relevant information from various sources to aid in case development.

• Assist in the coordination of case settlements, ensuring all details are accurately recorded and communicated.

• Use various software tools such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) to manage and streamline tasks.

• Exhibit strong communication skills and attention to detail in all tasks.

This role requires the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and extensive computer expertise. Requirements • Proficiency in Aderant and Adobe Acrobat software

• Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Knowledge of Case Management Software and CompuLaw

• Ability to handle billing functions effectively

• Experience in briefing and calendar management

• Competency in claim administration

• Strong communication skills

• Proficiency in calendaring

• Experience as a litigation paralegal

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Keen attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in law or related field preferred

• Paralegal certification is a plus.
