Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Moline, Illinois

Description If you're an experienced Payroll Clerk with an eye for accuracy, Robert Half has a terrific opportunity in the Professional Services industry for you to check out. In this role, you will be expected to support the Payroll department in a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Possess the skill set to effectively communicate with the internal team and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk position is a career growing opportunity that gives you the chance to work with an industry leader. Based in the Moline, Illinois area, this permanent position is a great opportunity.

What you get to do every day

  • Train and instruct employees in the proper use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

  • Collect and organize timesheet approvals by contacting employees via email and phone

  • Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Maintain office efficiency by fulfilling clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.

  • Produce and run custom reports

  • Fulfill other duties as assigned

  • Make reports easily accessible by administer/saving them as instructed Requirements - Proven ability to quickly learn new systems

  • High attention to detail

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

  • Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll

  • bi-Monthly Payroll experience

  • Payroll experience

  • Experience with payroll for under 100 employees

  • Proven knowledge of Payroll Taxes

  • semi-Monthly Payrolls experience required

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Previous payroll experience

  • Qualified in Payroll software
