Robert Half Accountant Assistant in Monterey, California

Description We are in the process of enhancing our team with the addition of an Accountant Assistant. This role is based in Monterey, California and is an integral part of our operations, contributing to the smooth functioning of our financial processes. The role predominantly involves tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, and requires a keen eye for detail to identify and rectify any discrepancies. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a dynamic environment and make a significant impact on our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Analyze financial data with precision to identify any inconsistencies.

• Collaborate with team members and vendors to investigate and rectify any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Oversee and manage the transactions and ledger.

• Maintain well-organized digital and physical files.

• Uphold the confidentiality of all financial data.

• Apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all tasks to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

• Utilize software tools such as QuickBooks and other Microsoft Office Applications for efficient task completion.

• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

• Exhibit strong organization and time management skills to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in General Ledger management

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skills in using QuickBooks for financial tasks

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Ability to work effectively in a team

• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
