Robert Half Accounts Payable Coordinator in Monterey, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Coordinator in Monterey, California. In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic team in the financial industry, where you'll oversee and manage a multitude of financial transactions and records. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and track payments and expenditures including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements

• File necessary documents with local government entities such as business tax and licensing departments

• Accurately code and enter supplier invoices into accounting systems & General Ledger

• Process client refund payments and ensure timely payment of vendors in line with company policies

• Handle vendor inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies

• Prepare and process ACH and rush payments as necessary

• Reconcile corporate credit card accounts and review employee expense report requests for policy compliance

• Prepare approved month-end journal entries and manage multiple deadlines with high-level accuracy

• Review open payables and outstanding checks, and set up new vendor accounts and profiles

• Respond to audit requests and assist management and staff with additional administrative and accounting related tasks as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups

• Familiarity with 10 Key Skills, able to perform quick and accurate data entry

• Ability to manage and organize large sets of data

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

• Familiarity with accounting software systems

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
