Robert Half Quality Assurance Analyst in Monterey, California

Description We are inviting applications for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in the Communications industry, based in Monterey, California. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity, where the selected candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and test cases, ensuring the quality of our innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop test plans and test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all functional areas of our products and solutions.

• Execute test cases manually as well as utilize automated testing to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

• Identify, document, regress, and track bugs through to resolution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.

• Interpret and report testing results, while advocating for quality in every phase of the development process.

• Collaborate with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.

• Analyze technical design documentation to understand features and aid in delivering quality software.

• Acquire a working knowledge of the database and software architecture used by the applications to identify failure points and impacts on testing efforts for software releases.

• Operate effectively in a multi-vendor environment to obtain requirements, specifications, and pertinent data for accurate application testing.

• Provide recommendations to improve formalized testing processes, including the enhancement of our test repository and test automation.

• Report issues related to complex problems using log files to aid in testing. Requirements • Possess a thorough understanding of Quality Assurance principles and methodologies

• Proficient with JIRA for tracking and reporting bugs and issues

• Demonstrated experience with Selenium for automated testing

• Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases

• Proven experience in project management and QA methodology

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing

• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

• Excellent communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proven ability to work effectively within a team
